Janmashtami Fast Procedure

Observers of the Fast Should consume light Sattvic food

On the fasting day rise early, take a bath, and wear clean clothes

Make a pledge for the fast while holding holy water

Place an image of Devaki ji nursing Lord Krishna

The Fast should be broken only after midnight
